Hey Mauricio,
Really appreciate the photos that was super helpful, and we can get you set up with new electric trailer brakes. Since you have a 12" AL-KO hub & drum, you need a certain set of electric brakes to fit the bolt pattern, so the correct brakes are the following:
- Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand - 6K AL-KO/Hayes Axles # 23-105-106-09
The only thing to note is these brakes do not come with the mounting hardware, so the other thing you'll need is Mounting... view full answer...

Yes, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 is compatible with a hydraulic boat trailer system. It's arguably the most reliable option on the market when it comes to compatibility with electric over hydraulic brake systems so I know you'll be happy with how it performs!
You just need to make sure you have an electric over hydraulic actuator like the Hydrastar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Drum Brakes # HS381-8065... view full answer...

Hi Ron,
In regards to your first question, the difference is those are just different models of the trailer. As for your Keystone Bullet Ultra Lite with tandem 3,500 lb axles, there honestly is very little difference in the trailer brakes that fit, which are the following:
- etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-35-SA
- Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-468-469
The biggest difference is price, as the Dexter's name brand makes it more premium in terms... view full answer...
It is not uncommon for certain factory brake controllers to have issues with electric over hydraulic brakes. This would be the first we have heard of this issue with a 2023 Ford F-350, but it is possible that the brake controller in your ford is simply not compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. There may be an adapter module available depending on what brand of actuator you have on your trailer so that is one option. If you can tell me the make and model of your actuator I can... view full answer...
Not without a brake controller! The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector item # 22124 is confirmed to fit your 2020 Ford Ranger and will plug into a trailer with brakes but you will also need a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 item # 90195. view full answer...
Hello Erik, it certainly is possible to convert your trailer from surge brakes over to electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) brakes. Basically, all you will need to add is an EOH disc brake actuator # HBA16 and a wiring kit # HS381-9000. The wiring kit contains everything you need to install and wire in the actuator, including a junction box for your connections. You will simply attach the brake line from your surge coupler to the Hydrastar actuator.
As long as the current surge actuator is still... view full answer...
Yes, the Curt Echo # C51180 will indeed be compatible with the Factory Integrated Brake Controller in your 2022 Ram 1500. The Curt Echo will basically cancel out the factory controller and will take on all of the trailer brake control functions. view full answer...
We do have a potential solution for you. Unfortunately, the swing away actuators like the one on your 2005 Mastercraft trailer have been discontinued, so I am afraid there is no direct replacement, or anything that will fit inside the current swing away.
At this point we would have to recommend replacing the tongue of the trailer entirely, all the way down to the swing away. For a replacement option I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout # DX89FR. This has... view full answer...
Hey Drew, for the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR1200S04 you can use the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA for brakes, and # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K for a hub and drum assembly. view full answer...
You will need a little more than just the adapter but that is off to a good start. The Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57672 will connect to the 5th wheel 4-way so the signal power will carry over to the 7-way connector. However, you will still need to run wire to connect to the brake output circuit.
Voltage drop is a definitely a concern so I recommend replacing the brake output wire on your entire setup with 6 gauge wire. So you will be replacing it starting at the brake controller... view full answer...
Thanks for the photos, Michel!

Hello Chad. The Lippert 7,000 lb axles use standard sizing for all the bearings, hubs and brakes making them all pretty simple to replace.
For a hub assembly I recommend the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum for 5.2K to 7K Axles # AKHD-865-7-G-EZ-K. This is a galvanized steel hub with a 12" drum and an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, all of which are standard for the 7K axles. This hub comes with bearings, seals, races, lug nuts and a grease cap.
For your brake assemblies I recommend the TruRyde... view full answer...
The etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-6 will likely fit your 5,200 lb AL-KO axle. These are 12" x 2" with a 5 bolt brake flange mounting pattern. I recommend checking your brake flange just to be sure. If you have the older 4 bolt AL-KO pattern and not the standard 5 bolt then you need the # 23-105-106-09 instead. view full answer...
It sounds like you are wanting to also run tire chains on a trailer you are pulling. This is a good idea as the chains can help prevent the tires from sliding on the trailer. This will help prevent it from sliding side to side and also help with braking should you have trailer brakes. The Konig # TH01594225 are a great option as they are self tensioning and have the diamond pattern which gives more lateral traction. These fit the most common 205/75-14 tire size for trailers. view full answer...

We also have a 4-Way # CU94FR or 7-Way # C68JR wiring harness depending on what trailer connector you may need. As you are looking at a heavy duty hitch you will also likely need the 7-Way Upgrade Kit # ETBC7 and a Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR if you are going to pull a trailer with electric brakes. view full answer...
